Developmental and Functional Assessments

At Neuroinclusion, we offer a variety of assessments. All assessments include a report that can be distributed to NDIS, broader therapy and medical team, school and other educational environments. Assessments that we commonly provide include:

  • Sensory Profile assessment to identify your preferences and ensure you are meeting your needs effectively with evidence-based sensory tools and modifications

  • Handwriting assessments to explore potential dysgraphia and/or gain supports at school

  • Developmental assessments to identify strengths and difficulties in accordance to typical developmental age using standardised testing

  • School/Kinder/Childcare observational assessments to better understand supports and barriers in an educational environment and provide recommendations

  • NDIS letters and assessment report to gain NDIS funding especially if they are under six years of age

  • Functional Capacity Assessments for NDIS and paediatrician, psychiatrists and other professionals to increase funding, set baseline for capacity and identify goals for therapy

We understand the intention of each client's report and strive to achieve this whilst utilising honest objective descriptions. Our reports are strengths-based and include positive attributes to ensure they are holistic and align with our values of celebrating diversity. For example, words such as "struggled" are never in our reports unless it is a direct quote from someone else.
